First Brixton People’s Kitchen of 2013

So it’s 2013. We have survived the apocalypse, and are (kind of) fresh from the Christmas holidays. We know this year is going to be amazing, and that’s just how we intend to start it. So join us next Sunday for some more cooking and feasting! This time, we will also be joined by Love Food Hate Waste, who will give a short talk with plenty of tips on how to reduce food waste at home.

ImageAs usual, we’ll be collecting food surplus from local shops and markets, inviting local people to cook together, and welcoming everyone to enjoy a delicious meal.

1-2pm: Surplus Food Collection and Drop Off
2-5pm: Communal Food Preparation
5-6pm: Supper!

Email brixtonfoodwaste@gmail.com or contact Fan 07810288879 if you would like to VOLUNTEER or DONATE FOOD

Food will be served on a donations basis. Put what you can or will into the pot. If you have donated food, feel free to eat for free! Otherwise, we ask for:

£2 FOR A PLATE.
£3 IF YOU THINK THE FOOD WAS GREAT!
£4 IF YOU REALLY WANT TO HELP US GROW!

Donations will be spent on covering the costs of the venue, and on an extra oven, to help us run the kitchen more efficiently.

We also welcome people to take food home, in case there are leftovers. So bring food containers!

Please, note that we won’t be in Myatt’s Fields this time, but in C.A.F.E, a great venue tucked away under one of the arches facing in Loughborough Junction station.
